Deeds of Darkness & Armor of Light

How easily we fall back and backslide to gratify the desires of the flesh - laziness, drunkenness, debauchery, carousing, dissension, apathy and greed. But "the night is nearly over; the day is almost here." Let us stand firm "with the belt of truth buckled aaround our waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." Let us "take up the shield of faith...take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Let us "pray in the Spirit" and "be alert."
